Free Pascal is a 32 and 64 bit compiler for various operating systems and process architectures, for models like Intel x86, Amd64/x86_64, PowerPC or Sparc.
Its compatible with the language supports of Borland Turbo Pascal 7.0 and Delphi 7, although it does implement better improvements for these, like the operator over boarding.
The interface of the environment for Free Pascal is as before, in text mode, and is also like the one used for Turbo Pascal and Borland.
Other characteristics of Free Pascal are: processing overhead, load variables in registers, code optimizer, flow level analysis data assembler, global properties, ect..
